The Serial Reinvention blog began with an article Rebecca published on More.com in response to the overwhelmingly popular advice being given by career experts to “find your passion.”

For years, Rebecca tried to follow this advice, only to find that a single passion wasn’t in the cards for her – life was too full of interesting things to choose just one!

She wondered if others felt the same way, and wrote “Confessions of a Serial Reinventor.” Turns out they did, the response to the article was overwhelming, and Rebecca realized there were many, many others out there as frustrated as she was with the pressure to “choose one thing.” She is currently at work on a book about Serial Reinvention.

Whether you find yourself suddenly unemployed, an empty nester, or, like me, a serial reinventor, answering the question, “What are you going to do with the rest of your life?” can bring a lot of unwanted pressure.

Don’t get me wrong, I know exactly how seductive the reinvention call can be. “Change Yourself in 10 Easy Steps!” “Discover Your Passion!” “Create the New You!” The messages are all but impossible to resist.
